HELP in using macros Pleas

I am very new to macros...I don't understand them...I have to download files
from ftp site, save in a file, then cut/paste macrostart(where is
this?)...click on macor and enter dates and build header...then go to
macrofinish(where is this?) I am so confused and noone in the office
today...please help if you can...it would be much appreciated.
