Help! Lost Calendar icon!

In Calendar in Entourage 2004, a small icon used to appear on the left
of an event window if text was
entered in the main window of the event page, just as a bell appears if

you have set a reminder for an event. All these icons have disappeared
from my Calendar, and now it is impossible to see which calendar events

have text written in their main window without opening them. Can anyone

please help in suggesting a way to get these icons to reapperar? thanks.

Have you applied the latest updates to Entourage? There was an issue in an
earlier system update where these little icons (and, most obviously, project
'dots) failed to display, but this was corrected in an Entourage update.

Use 'check for updates' from the 'Help' menu.

Thanks for the reply Barry,
I have version 11.2.3 which I think is the latest?
the alarm bell icon appears, as does the one that says it's a recurring
event, just not the one saying there is text within the event?
Any other suggestions would be appreciated as I really rely on these
things!

Sorry, I don't know what icon you are referring to - I don't recall ever
seeing a 'text included' icon on calendar events.

I definitely used to have it. Maybe it disappeared with Office 2004?
I think I recall it disappearing before, and called Microsoft, and they
told me how to recover the icons, but foolishly I didn't write down how
to do it (imagining the problem was solved) and now I can't remember
how to do it!

Hi Oli!

Are you possibly referring to a Palm calendar instead? A calendar event
on a Palm will display a small "text" icon to indicate more details. But
I don't recall this in Entourage.

Hi Bill,

you know, you might have something there! I did use Palm and sync with
Entourage when I had Office X. But now that my palm doesn't seem to
sync with Entourage 2004 I'd given up using it. Maybe I am confusing
them. could it be that palm synched the icons to Entourage too? as I
never really used the Palm software?
