Help needed with new web hoster

I just changed web hosters and now cannot get my mail through my pop-up
account. The tech guy there says he has no problem getting the mail through
outlook express. He is not Mac oriented, and if I can't figure this out, I
will have to look for ANOTHER new web hoster -- and this switch took me
about thirty hours of research and work to get done.

He says for Account ID to put --the full e mail address
And for pop server to put-- mail.(website url here)
And then the password.

But everytime I connect I get, "returned error, such password supplied for
this address is incorrect. Your username or security settings may be
incorrect.

Now with this password I am able to get my mail on this webhoster
(webhost4life.com) web-based site. Just not through Entourage.

He wants me to try with Outlook, but I just discovered that Outlook is only
for OS9 (why is that??) and I don't have energy to deal with OS9 right now.

Another bad sign is that when I type in my website address on mail2web.com I
also get an error failed message, while my other e mail accounts work fine
there. This e mail address BTW is is tied to a web site and is a catch all.

This is such a quandary. I really like the features of this new web host and
spent a lot of time to make the switch. I just can't get my e mail -- and
he says he has no idea why and does not deal with Entourage. Thanks!

Outlook Express directions are the same for Entourage. However what he is
telling you to put below is not something I have seen before.

Try putting just the part before the @ sign
And for pop server to put-- mail.(website url here)

This should be something like mail.comcast.net

SMTP setting can be mail.comcast.net or smtp.comcast.net

Thanks Diane: it seemed to start working out of the blue. Take care! Kevs
