Recently I upgraded from OE6 and Word 2000 to the full office 2003 suite. After transferring all email capabilities over to Outlook I have been noticing significant problems regarding attachments. Everyone recieves their emails fine with the attatchments however with Microsoft Word files it often fails to open them. The messages are there and the attachments and I am positive that it is not the security setting however, for some reason it is as if Outlook fails to initialize it at all.
