Help ! problems sending/receiving attchments ( pictures for one )

Does anyone have an idea what the problems is: I'll explain, a friend
of mine keeps trying to send me an 'attachment'-a JPEG, about 400k (
using Entourage 2004 the same as me ), but when it arrives I only get
to see a fraction of the photo, if I send him a JPEG he can open it and
see ALL of it ?

This also happens to another friend who is on 'Windows' he can only see
part of the photo my other friend has sent.

Hope this makes sense and that someone can come up with an idea as to
why this happens ???

In Tools/Accounts/that account/Options. do have the box checked to only
partially download messages larger than a certain size? That can do it -
uncheck that.

Or thy may be something faulty in the encoding your friend is sending
attachments in. In his Preferences/Compose, does he have encoding set to
AppleDouble?

In the macintouch.com forum there's been a discussion on problems many
people are having with attachments since switching to Tiger. It seems that
the problem is related to the way Tiger handles a couple different firewall
programs.
