I am being hammered with the Swen virus. The one that looks like it's an
update from Microsoft. Today I got 142 of these buggers each with a 140 K
..exe attachment.
The problem is that I have a Yahoo email account and my 6 Mb mailbox gets
full up with this crap preventing me from receiving the one or two emails
that matter.
I have tried using SpamCop but have been informed that I shouldn't use it to
report / trace viruses. I have tried using an Entourage rule and the script
Nuke Messages but that has deleted emails that I required.
I've also created another account using a different domain and I've now
started getting Swen there as well. Should this happen to a Mac user?
I've now taken the drastic measure of keeping my computer on all the time
and removing all the messages from the server. But that means that when I'm
not at home (which is most of the day) I can't access my email from Yahoo's
web mail.
Does anyone have a better suggestion to offer?
