Help summing only certain cells

I am trying to sum certain cells based on the text in
another cell. Here's the example in cells A1:B4. Column
B is text.

A B
1 $2 Check
2 $3 Cash
3 $5 Cash
4 $2 Check

Check Total ??
Cash Total ??

Is there a formula that I can put in cells at the bottom
that will calculate the check total and the cash total?

Lately I've had this challenge twice and haven't figured
out a clean way to do it. Please help... Thanks!

=SUMPRODUCT(--(B1:B4="cash"),A1:A4)
=SUMPRODUCT(--(B1:B4="check"),A1:A4)

Use:
=SUMIF(B1:B4,"Check",A1:A4)
=SUMIF(B1:B4,"Cash",A1:A4)
