Help System

On-line help system is cumbersome and slow and tends to give poor answers. I
found the old index system much faster to use and it gave more concise
answers. On line system additionally tends to provide a lot of unnecessary
information further slowing the overall process.

Hi Duncan,

You can disable the "on-line" portion of the help system to speed the
results if you wish. Choose Help > Microsoft Project Help to display the
Project Help pane. At the bottom of the pane under "See also" click the
Online Content Settings... hyperlink to open the Online Content Settings.
Uncheck "Show content and links from Microsoft Office Online" and click OK.
Re-start Project.

This will show you only help topics loaded locally on your machine.
Unfortunately, the index will not reappear, but it will speed things a bit.
