Help with delay in sending assigned task

Does anyone know if there is a way to assign a task to someone else, but
delay sending the item in the same way that you can check 'do not sent
before....' with a regular email? I want to assign tasks to individuals who
are on vacation, but I'm worried that they'll check there email while on
vacation and think I'm asking them to do the task now. Any thoughts?

What if you set the Due Date on the task for after they return?
