Help with Identities please?

Hi

I seem to have built up a number of identities over time.

Some are backups, some just have different names.

I don't really understand why I have all these different identities although
I do have 3 email address's but they are all visible and usable under the
one identity I do everything in.

I would like to clean up Entourage and delete these old identities BUT I do
not want to lose any of my emails.

How do I do this?

Your help is much appreciated.

Doing some more digging I in my 'Microsoft User Data' folder I have noticed
I also have Office 2001 and Office X identities.

Can I just junk these or are they in some way linked to my Office 2004
identities and data?

First, I would switch into the other identities and see if they have
anything useful in them. Choose 'switch identity...' from the Entourage menu
(you will need to quit all other office apps first).

If there is nothing you want to recover in there, just delete them. If there
is stuff you want to keep, export it to a safe place with the 'export'
command under the file menu, switch back to your main identity and then
choose 'import' from the file menu to bring it all into the main identity.

After going through this for all the identities, you can just trash what's
left behind.
