Help With Sound In Powerpoint! :-(

C

chriskingshott1

Hello,

I have done a presentation in powerpoint with sound and it all works fine.
Anyway I would like to copy this presentation onto CD. However when I do
this and I run the presentation from the cd the sound does not work. I know
this is because the sound path on the presentation is wrong.

This presentation needs to work on lots of different computers as it is
being distributed.

How can I get powerpoint to reconise the path for the sounds on the cd?

The problem I am having is that different computers with have different
drive letters like E: or D:.

Help would very much be appreciated.

Regards
Chris

The short answer is that you have to put all the sounds in the SAME
folder as the presentation and then (re)insert the sounds, and the sounds
have to be sent with the presentation. The long answer can be found at:

Sounds/Movies don't play, images disappear or links break when I move or
email a presentation

You need to copy ALL sound files into the same folder as your PowerPoint
presentation, THEN insert them onto slides. That when you copy all files in
the folder to your CD, the sounds will play. basically, if they start out
in the same folder, they can be moved, and will work, as long as they end up
in the same folder.

Hope that makes sense!
