I had one today that I thought had been corrupted in email, but it turns out
that I'd forgotten I'd had to reinstall Office 2003 yesterday. And, of
course, that meant that I also needed to reinstall Office 2003 SP-1 before
PPT would open the file. <sigh>

To the original poster, if you have PPT 2003 at the office, be sure to go to
Help/Check for Updates and install SP-1 for Office 2003.

If you're using a different version of PPT, then I go with Steve's thought
that the file has probably become corrupt in the email process and zipping
will help.

As idiotically misleading and generally useless as Windows error messages are,
they don't generally blame stuff on PPT unless it's PPT doing the blaming. ;-)
