Hide / Close Access Toolbars / Menu in Opening Form

In Access 2000, I would like to close the Access menu (File, Edit etc) and
toolbar (View, Save icons etc) which appear at the top of the Access screen.
I plan to do this in the opening, switchboard, screen in the open event.
This will be done or not based on the login id of the user.

What is the command to remove both of these items from the screen?

Many thanks,
Mike Thomas

Thanks for your reply.

Is there a way to do this globally; for the entire application? Right now,
as soon as I go to the next screen the menu bar is back again.

Thanks

The only way I know is to do it for each form. Remember to
cancel the the menu hide open the db with the shift key
pressed.

OK, Many thanks for your help. I may repost this one to see if anybody
knows how to do this globally. There are about 80 forms in this app.
