Hide the sync window?

We am running Entourage 2004 connected to an Exchange 2003 Server. One
thing that many of our users find annoying is the syncronization window
that pops up in the top left corner quite often.

Is it possible to somehow hide this process? I have only found options
to turn it off.

Try going to "Window" on the menu bar and unselecting "Progress".
