Hiding Recurring Events

Does anyone know a way in the Entourage monthly calendar view to hide
recurring events?

I can create a view that hides them, but it only displays as a list, which
is not what I want. The object is to hide them so they don't display in the
regular calendar views. Thanks.

You can do this in Outlook, but I can find no way to accomplish it in
Entourage. It makes the Calendar view very cluttered.
