highlight color on Mouse Over

I am making a presentation where the master slilde has a menu made of several gifs. Each gif is hyperlinked to different sections of the presentation. So far so good
I have also chosen "highlight when mouse over" for each gif, and my problem is that I can´t seem to change the highlight color in any way. As it is now, the highlight color is black when I hover the menu. Is there any way to change this? Have tried to change the color scheme, but with no luck for the highlight...

Hi LuLu,

The highlight color is directly related to the fill color
of the object. For example: a white fill results in a
black highlight mouse-over, a blue fill results in a
yellow highlight mouse-over.

You'll have to use an image editor to change the color of
your gif files if you want to change the highlight color.

Thanks for your help Glenna - seems like I have to play a bit with the images then
Strange though, the way the colors correspond - why blue/yellow and why not for example blue/green :-
Any ideas why

Hi Lulu,

I think they're roughly opposite each other on the color
palette in PowerPoint. Makes sense if you think about it,
but it would be nice to be able to select the highlight
color.
