Hola, Echo....

Before saying anything else, my thanks for your motivating comments and
suggestions.

Looking at your website, I notice the new formats for PPoint 2007...my
question :

1. What happens to old .ppt and .pps files? Are we going to be able to view
them in spite of new formats, or do we have to convert them?
2. If they must be converted, how will this be done ?

Best greetings,

Gus

You're so very welcome.

Microsoft learned well from the Office 95 to 97 file format changes.

There will be patches for Office XP and 2003 applications so they can
recognize, open, edit, and save the new 2007 file formats. I thought Office
2000 was included in that, but this link
http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/beta/converter.mspx doesn't mention
it. You'd want both the Awareness Update and the Compatibility Pack from
that page.

Buenos días to you, Steve, long time we hadn't exchanged views...

You're most welcome. Perhaps one of the the messages I'd like to spread
among the newsgroup visitors and friends is that in spite of PPoint's
versatility it is not a 100% all-sufficient solution. It is necessary to
know a little bit about supplementary software and accesory
coding/programming to perfect the program output and desired effects.

Best greetings to you, Steve.
