I need to develop a Intranet using Frontpage. My company
is currently running Windows 2000 server. How do i publish
the site to the server.

I have heard of Personal Web Servers. Does Windows 2000
server come witrh IIS. Also, i have heard that certain
forms, buttons etc. would not be visible if there arent
any frontpage server extensions.

Please help

You are correct, certain forms and features such as site search, upload
form, save results form, will not work without the Server Exensions
available on the server. If the server extensions are installed on the
server, then you will be able to publish a web using File | Publish Web and
entering in http://servername/webname, where servername is the name or IP
address of the web server and webname is the optional name of the subweb to
place the files. The web server's admin may have specific instructions for
you how he/she wants it done. Win 2000 (all versions) come with IIS. The PWS
is the name for the non-server version of the IIS web server. Basically it's
very close to IIS but may have functionality removed depending on the OS
(ie: The Win 98 PWS 4 does not have near as many features as the PWS for NT
4 Workstation because it is a more different OS than NT 4). Win 2000/XP Pro
use IIS instead of the older PWS.

Hope this helps,
