Hot Sync Manager Quitting on Entourage X Sync

I have never successfully hot synced my Palm Pilot (previously IIIxe
model and now the M130 model) with Entourage X. It begins like it's
going to happen and then I get the "Conduit Manager has unexpectedly
quit........." message and the calendar(datebook) does not sync up to
my Palm device.

I have checked the Conduit Folder so that it only includes MS Entourage
Conduit and have checked the settings for the conduit in Hot Sync
Manager. Am running Mac OS X v10.2.8, Entourage Xv10.1.4, and
Palm Desktop 4.1 with latest Handheld Sync Installer from MicroSoft.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a known issue if your address book contains repeating events
without an end date specified. Check that this does not apply in your case.

Failing that, do a first sync with 'entourage overwrites handheld' set in
the conduit options. The palm database seems fairly prone to corruption and
this will replace it with a fresh copy (you lose whatever was in the palm
database of course)
