Hotmail Error (-50)

Sometimes when I attempt to receive the contents of a Hotmail folder, I'll
get the following message:

An unknown error (-50) occurred.

It appears that it gets hung up on a particular message. I usually have to
go online and delete messages one at a time and then it will eventually
work. This gets tedious very quickly. Has anyone else gotten this and know
how to get around it? I've tried:

--Removing the Hotmail account and re-adding it
--Clearing the Cache

Was there ever an answer to this question? I started having the same
problem.
I'm using Entourage 11.1.0, on OS 10.3.9, on a Powerbook G4.

I too am having problems accessing my Hotmail account from Entourage. I am
running OS 9.2 using version 9.0 of entourage. It was working just fine up
until a few months ago.

Reg's Hotmail

Same problem here, and no sign of an answer that I can find either here or
on the Mactopia support site. I have been getting tha same message for about
2 weeks, with no changes on my machine. I get it about two thirds of the
time, other times it downloads fine. I did upgrade to Tiger this week, but
that issue remains unchanged.

This does not appear to be a fix for the current version. I am running 2004,
version 11.1.0.

I had the same problem and here is what fixed it for me:

Finder > Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access

Delete all entries that pertain to the account in question

Receive your mail

A dialog will pop up asking for your hotmail password. Enter it and make
sure to save it to the keychain.

All my overdue mail started arriving immediately. Hope this helps somebody.
