Hotsinc 'File is locked' Error

Since I created 'sub-identities' in entourage (ie I don't use the main
identity only since my children also use entourage for email), Whenever
I hotsync I get an error 'File is locked'. This prevents my palm to
sync with Entourage.

I found a painful workaround, which is to go in the 'office 2004
identities' folder and change the ownership & permissions to 'read and
write' from 'read only' for group (owner remains set to read & write)
for all identities but I have to do that everytime I sync. Does anyone
know what is going on and how I can prevent entourage from resetting
the access permissions of all identities?

I have found the solution myself. The problem is actually related to
Virex 7.5. Disabling the active virus scanner solves the issue.
