Hotsync problems

I can't sync my palm calendar to Entourage. I have
downloaded the necessary software and have disabled all the
conduits other than the Entourage conduit and I still can't
sync. I get the message "Conduit Manager has unexpectantly
quit". Any ideas?

I have the same problem with my address book conduit on entourage.
I'm looking for ideas myself. For now I've changed the conduit back to
the palm software address book (all my other conduits sync with the
palm desktop) I suppose I could switch them all over to i-Sync and
start using AppleWorks again.

If you've recently updated Office X, then you gotta go download the
new Entourage conduit separately and install it. I did that and it seems
to work fine now. See newsgroup postings below.

Nuts. I had the identical problem, but even after updating to version 10.1.5
and re-installing the Handheld whatever-it-is software on top of it, Conduit
Manager still crashes after a lengthy attempt at HotSyncing.

I am having the same problem. Office 10.1.5, reinstalled the conduit for
entourage sync, and hotsync crashes every time. I'm syncing to a Clie
T-615C. It always worked prior to my 10.1.4 and 10.1.5 upgrades.

A note - whenever I install a new version of iSync or update the MS Office,
I always have to reinstall the MS conduit for entourage again. It's never
been a problem until this time...

Do any MVPs have an answer?

Thanks,
Matthew

Solution!

MS made a second conduit for syncing handhelds with entourage after they
released the 10.1.4 exchange update. They label the first conduit update
10.1.2, and the new one is called 10.1.4. You have to look for it, but it's
on the site.

First, delete the old entourage conduit.

Then, go to www.microsoft.com/mac and download the 10.1.4 entourage handheld
sync conduit. Install it like normal.

Did the trick for me.

I am having the exact same problems - and after extensive uninstalls of both
office an Palm Desktop, deletion of prefs, the problem still exists. Does
anyone have any ideas?

Matthew - What version of Palm Desktop are you running? What type of Palm
Handheld are you using? For most and myself, even with the new conduit for
10.1.4 installed it the syncing manager still crashes. I am running 10.2.6
on a G4 PowerBook trying to sync once again to my ZIRE 71.

I m also having that problem I am running 10.1.5 on the MSX, 10.1.4 on
the Entourage conduit, and Palm 4.1.
I've disabled the Palm conduits to enable the Entourage - no luck.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Thanks for the tip!! Good site - alas, I am trying to search through all my
repeating events so that they have an end date. Any other idea? Thanks.

Do an advanced find for contacts with < or > in the e-mail address (and
maybe even look for other funky characters). Delete these characters, save
the contacts, and try syncing.
