HotSync with Entourage 2004 issues

Sometimes, when I Hotsync Entourage with my Palm device (USB
connection), no sync happens; i.e the new contact just added on my
Palm device doesn't show up in Eutourage contact list. Also, I noticed
that I can't change the Entourage Conduit settings; when
double-clicking on it nothing happens. I fixed the issue once by
re-running Entourage Handheld Sync Installer. But, the problem comes
back.

I also noticed that there are 2 Microsoft Database Daemon Application
listed in my user Start-Up Items list.

Any suggestions?

There's one folder which gets created in USERs/<user name>\Documents\Palm,
when we first time try syncing with Entourage which contains all required
settings for Palm device. As a last resort, we can move the complete folder
to some other location and try resyncing it., this would reccreate the Palm
folder.
Other thing is about Preference Files, located at User\<user
name>\\Library\Preferences, delete the following files and try again:
1. com.Palm.HotSync.plist
2. com.palm.NorePad.plist

While trying again, it will re create the preference files also. Let me know
if it seems to be a relevent solution.

I am using Palm Desktop 4.2.1, and I have been able to open my
Entourage 2004 Conduit by doing the following:

1. Create a new identity in Entourage and switch to it.
2. Open the Entourage Conduit from the HotSync manager...
3. With the Entourage Conduit still open, switch to your original
identity in Entourage.
4. Then go back into HotSync and click "OK."

As weird as the above appears, here is something even weirder: You may
have to move around your conduits and then put them back where they
were (Library/Application Suport/Palm HotSync/Conduits) before getting
the above to work.

Delete them both. A new one will be created next time you start any office
app.
