Hotsynch problems with entourage

I have office 10.1.4 on G4 powerbook and am having consistent problems with
hotsynch conduit manager (version 3.1) crashing when entourage conduit is
running (and palm says Œsynchronising address¹). As a result I can¹t get
tungstan T to synch with entourage. I have tried reinstalling software
numerous times but still having consistent problems. Does anyone have any
ideas please?

Others have reported crashing if non-number characters (such as < or >) are
in phone number fields. Look for those and if you find any, remove the bad
characters from your contacts.

I¹ve been having a similar problem on my G4 powerbook running entourage X
and palm 3.1
Have you received any useful respones?

What sort of sync are you doing? It is likely a corrupt address on either
the palm or the mac.

Try a database rebuild in Entourage first. Hold down the option key when
starting entourage until you see the rebuild screen. If this doesn¹t solve
the problem, export all addresses, delete them, typical rebuild and
re-import (you will lose any address book groups and links doing this
though. There are scripts at http://www.scriptbuilders.net that will let you
save the groups first.

If it still doesn¹t work, the corruption is almost certainly on the palm and
you need to do an Œentourage overwrites handheld¹ sync. This means you will
lose any address book changes you have made on the palm.
