Hour and minute calculation

I am having the toughest time calculating the sum of hours and minutes in excel. eg. 12:50+10:25:13:00. Is there anyone out there who can suggest how I go about doing this. Thanking you in advance. Ann

You DO have the cells formatted as Date values, right?
