Never a good idea to post your phone number, Kev.

And I doubt of MS will be giving you a call anytime soon. Especially since
Works Suite could be used to do exactly what you are saying.

Works is not a art studio or a math program, true with word you can draw
objects, and create formulas in excel, but these are not intended to be
tutorials for kids.

holy dog

Does it have teaching programs for math, geography, history, how to draw?
This suite looks to be intended for advanced users, not children, nor a
learning tutorial.

Have you looked at Microsoft Encarta? It sounds more like you need a
teaching software than a productivity software.

Why waste money? OpenOffice provides more than Works, infinitely better
value proposition.
....

A spell checker is the only thing missing in WordPad that kids would
need
in a dumbed down word procesor.

Microsoft's own PowerToy calculator allows simple user-defined
functions
and can graph functions.

Paint is an art program.

AOL with full parental controls in effect would be a safe alternative
to
Outlook. You'd have to pay for the service, but you have to pay for an
ISP
anyway.

Finally, do kids need databases? It'd be useful if Microsoft would
bring
back the index card and calendar applets from Windows 3.x.
