How and Why Publisher

Lloyd

I have the version of Publisher that came with Office XP . Can I use it to
produce templates such as Order Forms to use in Word or do Publisher files
only work in Publisher ? Also there are lots of ready made templates in
Publisher but what are they for ? They all have text boxes for things like
addresses but filled with text such as address line 1 , address line 2 etc.
All I wanted to do was create a template that I can call up ever time I want
to send a quote to a customer and complete it on my PC but so far Publisher
has me baffled.

Thanks.

There are literally hundreds of templates for any sort of publication. The Microsoft
Office site has a searchable template site
http://office.microsoft.com/templates/default.aspx?CTT=6&Origin=EC790020111033

These are the specific "quote" templates
http://office.microsoft.com/search/results.aspx?Scope=TC&Query=quote&CTT=6&Origin=EC010331121033

The templates in Publisher are editable, you can delete text boxes and put in your
own information.

Do a search for business forms, lots of sites offer free forms..
