How are exact times (e.g. 3:00 - 5:00 pm) entered?

I am trying to manage a small project where any events happen at specific
times: flights, meetings, etc. How do I enter exact times in MS Project?

Hi,

Simply add the time after the date just as in Excel. EG 12/12/05 5:00pm

However, you are confusing time management and project scheduling here.
Project makes a very expensive time management diary, especially as by
setting dates you prevent Project from earning its keep by calculating dates
for you.

I would have a task Meeting X with any particular details you want to record
in Notes. I would then schedule tasks to make that happen in Outlook.

Rod,

Thanks for the info. I am not trying to use MSP as a time management tool,
there are just a few key events for the team that happen at specific times.

I tried your solution, even before my original question, and the time simple
disappears.

Any ideas?

Andrew

The time is still there, it just isn't displayed. To make it display go to
tools menu / options / general and choose a date format which includes the
time. The time you entered should show up.
