how can I add the project server template to new sharepoint site?

I have created and extendede a new site. When I run the project server
sharepoint setup it sees the site, I chose it, it trys to create a \sites but
then fails complaining that "it can not use the template" need to add the
project server tempalte to the site?

How can I do this?
