How can I completely reset Word styles and formatting?

I really screwed it up, and the styles and formatting is all screwed up on
all new docs.
I want to start from scratch -- I uninstalled and reinstalled, but it kept
the default settings.

Help!

If you rename Normal.dot, Word will create a new copy with the default
settings. See http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/AppErrors/BlankDocNotBlank.htm
for instructions.

You can also reset styles (most of them) to the default by "deleting" them
from the Styles in Use list in Format | Style. For more, see
