I'm trying to create a cell calculation that uses data from other workbooks
(several, actually). The problem with the way Excel references the other
workbooks is that is uses full file path for each workbook referenced, thus
making the cell formula HUGE. Also, the absolute reference makes moving the
primary workbook or its antecedents impossible without breaking the links and
having to rewrite them all, arrrrggg!! Is there anyway to get Excel to
recognize relative references, similar to how web pages are built?

Thanks.

If there is any way you can change the external references to become sheet
tabs in the document containing the references, they will then become
relative rather than absolute.
