How can I custom reinstall Office 2003 SBE?

G

Gregg Hill

Hello!

I want to re-install Office 2003 SBE OEM. When I run the CD, it gives me
three choices: Add or Remove Features, Reinstall or Repair, or Uninstall. If
I choose Reinstall, I do not get the chance to choose what features I want.

Basically, I want to reinstall, but I want to make sure it is a full
installation of Word and Excel, including everything they offer.

Is there a command-line switch I can use to force a custom reinstall?

Thank you for helping!

Gregg Hill

Hi Greg,

To 'reinstall' Office with different settings you'd
need to first uninstall it then restart the PC then install
using the 'custom' installation choice, but, if your copy
of MS Office System 2003 is running satisfactorily then
when you are in Add/Remove Programs and select the [Change]
button, you can choose the Add or Remove Features choice
to take you to the listing of all features.

Once there, if you choose the top 'sugar cube' and set it
to 'run all from my computer' you can add any missing features
when that is accomplished, or you can choose differing levels
of the feature tree and set individual features or groups of
features to run from your computer or to run on 1st use or
to not available (don't install that feature).
