how can i disable urgent 'read only' urgently?

sorry if this is a repeat - tried to post it before but not sure it worked.

Suddently now when I burn presentations to a CD they become READ ONLY. I
don't have any security options turned on (that I know of!).

A Ppt message says the files are read only because the embed ttf option is
selected. i disabled the embed option and saved the files under different
names, but they are still burning as read only.

I desparately need the files to be editable at their final destination.

All files burned to a CD-R will be Read Only. That's a moot point since you
can't change a file on a CD-R. If you are worried about copying the file to
disk so that you can edit it, just copy it to disk and right click it, select
Properties, and uncheck the box next to Read Only.
