how can I eliminate hyperlinks in the guest log?

My guest log gets bombarded with hyperlinks. Removing this graffitti is time
consuming. How can I code the HTML to make all guest log entires appear as
plain text? Maybe then the pests will go away!
I use Front Page 2002.
Thanks very much,
Adam

As long as your visitors can make an entry in the guest book, they can
insert links by using html code. Nothing you can do, sorry.

You can use a third party guestbook that may give more control, or
write your own using whatever technologies your host supports (ASP,
PHP, Perl/CGI etc.)

If the FrontPage guestbook is the only option, try renaming the
guestbook.htm to some other name, and do not refer to it as a
guestbook - this may deter automatic bots for a while, but as Tom
says, manual entries will not be stopped.

Ron,
Thanks for the coaching. I like your suggestion of renaming the guestbook.
