How can I keep Entourage from zipping

Entourage 2008 for Mac OS X 10.5.2 how can I prevent Entourage from
automatically zipping all files I attach to send? It did not do this
before Ent 200; is there a default setting somewhere to prevent this?
many people I send to cannot open zipped files. Am I missing something
here? thanks! Kit

in the preferences you can set compression and encoding defaults (and
these can be changed on a message by message basis in the attacments
part of the message window).

However, some 'file' types have to be zipped. These are Mac OS
'Bundles', like Pages docs, SimpleText RTF docs etc - this is because
they are really folders full of 'stuff', even though they are recognised
as files by the OS. You cannot turn off compression for these file types.
