How can I make a "Contact Us" link open a meeting invite instead?

We have an intranet webpage which will be used for booking of Resources
(cameras, meeting rooms etc, all of which have a corresponding Functional ID
in Outlook), what I want to achieve is by clicking a link associated with the
required resource, a meeting invite for the functional ID will be displayed
instead of a standard mail message (as provided by mailto:).
