How can I receive large files?

I can't seem to receive emails with files over 2.5 mb (a few jpegs), my isp
cust service (earthlink) tells me that Outlook wont accept emails that large.
Is this true?
What is the capacity I can receive?

I've received 5mb files in Outlook. It may be a matter of your mailbox not
holding more than what's being sent.

It's not true. They're lying to you. It may be true, however, that your
Earthlink mailbox may not be able to accept that much.
