How can I send a PPS presentation with music by email?

Beatriz

I have the pps file but when I send it to an email destination, the music
doesn't play.
Could you give me instructions to do this in the right way?

Thanks

If the music is in wav format, you can embed
the music into the presentation(Click below link for embedding instruction).
If you are using other format, you can also
try to convert the music into wav format using sound convertor. By doing so,
the music will be embedded
into the presentation (preventing the link from breaking) and you do not
have to email the music.

Alternately for non-wav format,
Create a new folder and move the ppt and music into the folder.
Now, open the ppt file, delete and reinsert the music to create a pathless
link.
Then, save your presentation.
Email both the presentation and music.

Read about how to embed your music into the presentation, where to download
sound convertors and other related information here:

You've probably inserted (rather than imbedded) the music. If so you must
include those mp3 (or whatever) files containing the music with your PPT
program. Many times those extra files make it clumsy or too large to be
sent. What works for me is to make a folder and put everything I want to
send in it. (.pps and mp3s, etc). I then "select all" and Zip the folder
contents into one zip file. Then (Internet Explorer) browse to
"yousendit.com". It opens with the first entry being the email you want to
receive the zip file. Next entry is the filename. There's a browse
function to browse to where you saved that zip file. Select it. The next
entry allows you to type a short message to let your receiver know you sent
it and what it is all about. You can load a file up to 1GB in size. If
it's a large file be patient while it all uploads.

Now yousendit.com sends an email to your addressee that your file is
available for them and includes your personal message. It includes a
clickable link to take them directly to the zip file you loaded. Piece of
cake. They download the zip file and unzip it into some folder. Now the
pps program is there with the needed music files. Works like a champ.
