How can I stop Entourage from receiving & sending?

I have been using Entourage for a year now and enjoyed it (hope no vips are
insulted)...but I have decided to try iMail for a while. I would like to
stop Entourage from receiving and sending at least temporarily. Right now
both email programs are receiving an sending the same messages
simultaneously. Anyone know how to shut Entourage off? I tried erasing the
settings in accounts, but they came back!
