how do I activate office 2007 beta 2 technical refresh ?

I've seen lots of people asking the same question and some answers like
"disable firewall", "just keep trying" or "stand on your left foot while
clicking activate" - but no proper answer.
Could someone from the Office team please either get this fixed or have an
official "we're finished with the testing and therefore not interested in
your opinions anymore - so if the activation of the beta tr doesn't work,
you're just sol" (in not so many words) posted ? I'm sure it would remedy a
lot of frustration ...
Thank you, regards.

The activation for the Office 2007 Beta 2 and B2TR products will continue to be available. FWIW, the newsgroups are basically peer
support, rather than a direct channel to Microsoft Product support, although from time to time some of the support folks do post
here.

The suggestions on the firewall, and similar, are the usual steps when activation doesn't work and the activation server is doing
its normal thing, which at present it isn't doing on a reliable basis, but it is being worked on.
