How do I adjust the word wrap parameter?

Entourage wraps the text of none-HTML messages. I'd like to lessen the
number of characters per line, so there's less problems as the message
accumulates indented responses.

I looked in Mail preferences and General preferences but didn't find a
setting.

It's not configurable. I believe there are AppleScripts out there to rewrap
text smaller, or you could just use the built-in Tools:Auto Text Cleanup:
Rewrap command.
