How do I archive only old emails not all emails

M

michael

Hi,

This is my first time using a user group so I hope it works.

In Microsoft outlook for PC you could archive emails in a variety of
ways including and most importantly for me, selecting from a period of
time, for so many days and then it archived these emails only for all
folders.

Is this possible with Entourage?

If not is there a better email management tool for MAC then Entourage?

Please help, I hope I have explained myself clearly enough.
Kind regards, Michael

There's no better email client. There are better management tools that work
with Entourage, however. There are a few archiving software programs that
will do what you want. One is eMessage Archiver. There are others - do a
search at versiontracker.

Please "Reply To Newsgroup" to reply to this message. Emails will be
ignored.

PLEASE always state which version of Microsoft Office you are using -
**2004**, X or 2001. It's often impossible to answer your questions
otherwise.

Create a Custom View:

Date Received is Greater than xxx days.

Set a category for this view for example "archive"

Under File ->Export, select to export category, select "archive"
You have the option to keep in database or delete after archiving.

One other option is to drag the custom folder to the desktop. This creates
an MBOX file. More info on MBOX:
