How do I automatically delete sent items from "outbox"?

When I send am email from Outlook the message stays in my outbox (unless I
manually delete it). Thus the same message gets sent everytime I
"send/receive". Outlook has not always done this, so i don't know if I
accidentally turned something on or off!

When you send message, it firsth goes to Outbox (if you use Exchange server,
Outbox is normaly empty because mails goes immediately) When you press send
/receive, you send your email from your Outlook. Now the letter is in Sent
items -folder, but it's not any more in Outbox.

If you don't want to save emails to Sent items -folder, disable that from
tools - Options

Here's the problem:
1. I compose and email and hit "send"
2. The email is sent to recipient.
3. A copy ALSO stays in outbox so that...
4. When ever I hit send/receive the email gets sent again!
5. No copy is sent to "sent mail"!
