How do I change the default "show names from the" pull down menu .

When I am sending email and type in the person's last name (I am on a
network), it is currently defaulted on some strange recipient list that does
not contain everyone in the network. I have to manually go into the address
book, change the pull down menu for "show names from the" from Recipients to
GLobal address list.
How do i set the default to the global address list so that I dont have to
do this every time?
