How do I change the fill colour of the Organisational Chart Boxes?

This option seems to be greyed out in Powerpoint 2003?
Is there anyway to customise the colours here - or to amend the default
layouts?

Most probably you have applied an AutoLayout:

1) Select your diagram
2) Go to Layout on the toolbar and turn AutoLayout off

Then also turn off AutoFormat:

1) Select your diagram
2) Right-Click on an empty area in yourdiagram and click "Use AutoFormat"

Now right click your box and chose Edit AutoShape, or better still use the button (paint can) off your drawing toolbar to change the fill.

By no means turn the AutoLayout feature back on or all will be lost.
