how do i configure my keyboard some letters come out wrong?

With so little information to go on, I suggest you make sure you set the
Region correctly in Start, Settings, Control Panel.

many thanks for your help.....but this was not the problem....it seem that my
laptops keyboard is playing up....as i put an external one in and everything
is working fine

Be aware that this has nothing to do with MS Office applications.
Perhaps the numlock is on or you have misconfigured the keyboard or it's
broken. Try contacting the Laptop manufacturer tech support for more
solutions.
