how do i convert ASA carriage control(mainframe) documents to word

I have some documents created by some Mainframe programs that I have
downloaded to my PC & wish to load & convert them into MS Word or someother
PC Program & convert the ASA(ANSI) control characters into word or other
format to print the documents on a local printer looking the same way as it
printed on the Mainframe printer. Any help in this would be greatly
apprieated.
