How do I copy Outlook contacts to flash drive & upload to new mach

Trying to load Outlook contacts list currently on laptop (XP Office Pro) onto
flash drive and then upload to desktop Outlook contacts list (XP Office Pro).

Close Outlook, copy pst file to Flash drive. On Desktop, open Outlook, do
File-Open-Outlook Data File, navigate to Flash drive. Copy contacts from one
file to another.
