How do I create a fraction that is not in the symbols?

I need to create fractions that are not listed under the symbols. Is it
possible to do that?

You really can't. You could use subscript and superscript with a slash but
it's not going to look the same. (To be honest, that's the one place where
decimals are easier.)

I always forget about that! It's not on my "Apps I Use Daily" list. :)

From help

Type the fraction you want. For example, type 3/8
Highlight the number to the left of the slash.
On the Format menu, click Font.
Under Effects, click Superscript.
Click OK.
Highlight the character to the right of the slash.
On the toolbar, choose or type a size in the Size box that's about 60% of the
original size.
For example, if you started with 10-point text, type 6. You can type point sizes
other than those that appear in the list, including decimal fractions such as 5.5.

Do you have multiple versions of Office on your computer? Can you open the equation
editor in Word?

I don't have Microsoft Equation 3.0 as an option to add. Is it located
somewhere else?
