How do I email my contact list at once?

Hi,

I'm changing my email address. (Why I've been paying $9.95 a month for earthlink email for so long is a mystery to me!)

I need to email everyone in my contact list but i know there's a limit to size of the "to" list. Anyone know what that is? I would love to just send an email to my whole contact list. In the past I've chunked it into something like 20 people at a time. With 1000 contacts it takes forever.

Any help greatly appreciated.

First Earthlink should for no charge forward your mail. Often ISPs will do
it for a year.

I wouldn't send to all 1000. I would go through your Address Book and add
categories to your contacts. If they are friends and need your change of
address, use this category to create your group for sending out your
announcement. Lists, vendors, newsletters etc are not going to appreciate
your announcement. Remember good netiquette manners makes everyone happy.

Entourage has no limit. ISPs do. Usually it¹s 50. Get this script "Split
Recipients". This script will replicate messages into the number of copies
needed to comply with an ISP's maximum number of recipients allowed per
outgoing message.

Doesn¹t your new email service offer to inform all of your contacts for you?
They tend to like to do that in hopes of getting more customers.

Thanks so much for the help. Turns out Earthlink does NOT forward messages at all. Once you cancel that's it.

The script seemed to work well in letting me email all the contacts I wanted to hit - not all but the ones I chose.

Greatly appreciate it!
